Winter departure dates and reference prices
The 2026–27 product information lists daily departures from December 1, 2026 to April 15, 2027. The following Discovery Inn early-booking rates are in CAD per person; hotel breakfast is not included. Confirm the specific date, hotel and tour availability when booking.
The above prices are for Discovery Inn, without breakfast. If booking your own accommodation, the original information lists a hotel-excluded option at CAD $790/person. These options cover different services; request a quote for the selected version.

4-day itinerary
Arrive in Yellowknife · First aurora-viewing night
Pickup at Yellowknife Airport and transfer to the hotel. At around 10 p.m., travel to the aurora park with cabins and transparent glass-house tents for viewing.
Ice fishing · Dog sledding · Northern lights at night
Try ice fishing with a fresh-fish lunch, followed by dog sledding in the afternoon. One Chinese dinner is included. Depending on weather, view the northern lights at a camp or chase them by vehicle at night.
Yellowknife city tour · Return to the aurora park
Approximately 2.5-hour city tour visiting local sights and collecting an aurora certificate. Ice castle admission in March depends on opening arrangements. Continue northern lights viewing at night.
Free time · Airport transfer and return journey
Transfer to Yellowknife airport according to the flight time and return home.
Included and extra costs
- Listed inclusions: Yellowknife airport transfers, three nights of aurora activities, local guide, winter clothing, dog sledding, ice fishing and lunch, and one Chinese dinner.
- The glass tent is an aurora-viewing venue, not a hotel room. The aurora is a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed.
- Round-trip airfare, 5% GST and suggested tips of CAD $15/person/day are extra. Unlisted meals, personal expenses and optional activities are also extra.
- Optional vouchers for two American breakfasts and two Chinese dinners are listed at CAD $100/person plus 5% GST. State whether you want to add them when requesting a quote.
Snowmobiling is an optional extra: approximately 1.5 hours, one person per vehicle, age 16 and over, CA$120 per person plus 5% GST; excluded from the base tour price.
Cancellation & refund information
Cancellation conditions: cancellations more than 30 days before departure incur a CAD $50 service charge per person; 21–30 days before departure, 50% of the total cost; 8–20 days before departure, 75%; within 7 days of departure, 100%. Issued airline tickets are subject to airline rules. Itinerary changes caused by weather and related costs are subject to the terms confirmed at booking. Travel insurance is recommended.
